FEED Style hood
« on: August 26, 2013, 06:12:38 AM »
I have a fiberglass FEED styled hood with OEM rain shields behind head light, OEM windshield sprayers W/hidden hoses and key lock hood pins. Hood is painted OEM silver and I had the bottom finished as nice as the top. This hood fits great, even gaps all around. The only bad is one or two very small rock chips on front of the hood, but they are not big or go through paint.
I will not figure out shipping, if you want it shipped you figure how and how much. I hear people are paying over $300 for shipping. I will drive it two hours any more then that we will have to work out gas money.
I will trade for a very good condition first gen carbon fiber hood for my SA. NO garbage, my hood is great condition.
$550 I prefer cash maybe Paypal. NO low ball offers I don't need to sell, just want a hood for the SA.

Joe,

Did the hood do a good job with venting when stationary (heat soak) as well as when moving?
I believe that vents too far back and near the windshield actually draw air in when moving rather than vent out but not sure if the FEED style vent is "forward" enough to vent even when moving.

With a stock mount inter cooler heat soak is unavoidable if your not moving, inter cooler is above radiator. I noticed faster temp drops at lower speeds, driving speeds and highway driving temps lower. highway with feed hood water temp 84-85 degrees, stock hood 86-87 degrees. Over all this is a great looking and functional piece.
